I Need, Inc. Founded in 2004, I Need, Inc. produces web-based marketing solutions for small- to mid-sized firms. We offer a wide range of strategic and technical services on a project basis. We work closely with our clients and with creative agencies of their choosing to fully integrate web-based initiatives with traditional off-line sales and marketing initiatives.
“We” are John D. Malone, President of I Need, Inc., and a select team of independent creative and technical professionals assembled to complement each client’s own capabilities. Each project is unique, and each client has its own set of internal and professional resources to draw upon. By keeping I Need, Inc. small and flexible, we are more able to listen and apply the right skills to each project.

RB|Digital was the e-business consulting and web development division of Ross|Brown Integrated Marketing Communications, a full-service marketing company with clients in the Chicago area. We added value to the traditional marketing mix by focusing our efforts on the development of applications that streamlined the connections between marketing strategy, web production and performance tracking. We developed and integrated website automation tools for dynamic website content delivery, email marketing distribution, response-tracking and measurement, market intelligence systems and resource planning systems.

Planet Digital was an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that offered internet connectivity (dial-up, ISDN and T-1), website hosting and server collocation services. Through the application of a strong database-driven sales and sales tracking application we developed in-house, we were able to accurately track and reward referrals, turning the company around in less than two years. First year sales growth under my direction was 341%, making the company profitable for the first time since it was founded four years earlier. When sales doubled again the following year the owner was successful in selling the company to a larger, national service provider.

Precision Graphics is a graphics production firm specializing in the development of illustrations for the textbook industry. We created a market for saving work in process to be re-purposed for web and multimedia applications. Prentice Hall and Harcourt Brace are college textbook publishers. As a publisher’s representative, John managed a territory and was responsible for meeting sales and editorial quotas. He developed a database-driven sales application and successfully integrated it into an email application to effectively manage communications and track responses across his sales territory. The application identified and focused resources on the ideal sales prospects, leading to above-quota sales increases every year, increasing the territory sales base 435% over a four year period.

Businessland was a computer systems integrator. John managed a sales territory selling desktop computers, computer network design and installation services, mini and mainframe systems, software and printing solutions. He developed a client base that included Kraft Foods, Waste Management, Inc., Dean Foods, Rockwell International and Northern Illinois Gas.

Direct Response / Survey Automation streamlines the process of developing, implementing and collecting data via email and web-based surveys, promotional response campaigns and on-line testing programs. Our systems provide easy-to-use inputs to dynamically generate fill-in forms that capture data directly into an Excel spreadsheet, useful for off-line analysis. Our Direct Response / Survey Automation system may be integrated with our Email Automation application, our Website Automation application or it may be used as a stand-alone system to dynamically generate HTML data collection forms for use on any web server. It generates data collection forms that are email-friendly and can include True/False, Yes/No, Multiple Choice, Rate/Rank and short response inputs dynamically.
Search Engine Optimization is a long-term process of focusing web site content on key strategic business terms to improve site ranking for those terms in search engines like Google. We begin the process with a profile analysis of the existing web site, identifying which search terms the site performs best with at the beginning of the process. We then examine key competitors web sites to identify Google searches that they will perform best in. We develop a strategy, identifying as many as five search phrases that we will try to improve rankings with, make content assignments and promote the web site accordingly over a three month period, measuring the impact of our efforts on search engine ranking on a monthly basis. Each quarter we review the results and adjust our strategy accordingly for the next period.
Managed Internet Marketing Services are services we provide on an ongoing, contract basis. We will accept task assignments that might otherwise be part of a job description for a Webmaster or IT Systems Manager. We may be engaged to manage the monthly email newsletter, customer feedback surveys, content management, banner ad management, directory listing management, e-commerce transaction management or other services for our clients. Through Managed Internet Marketing Services, we may use our own applications for the benefit of our clients, such as our Email Automation or Survey application, reducing the investment our clients may make in infrastructure while enjoying the benefits of what these applications produce.
